Exit or Retirement Is More Than Leaving Your Job – and GrowVantage is focused on it to help entrepreneurs get better exit results to fund the next part of their lives.

Many of you know I am holding classes on Exit – and it’s a topic that is getting more attention.

Here is an article appearing in Barrie360. Stay tuned for an education session for me in September or early October! Entrepreneurs need to think ahead! Get in touch with any questions: patricia@growvantage.com

Then, we explore what retirement is really like, and why it’s about much more than simply finishing your career.

Eventually, almost everyone reaches retirement. However, many people discover it’s a much bigger life change than they expected.

Retired Essa Township Fire Chief and former ICU nurse Cynthia Ross-Tustin says retirement is about more than stopping work. It’s also about adjusting to a completely different routine.

Finding Purpose After Retirement

Ross-Tustin says many retirees experience an adjustment period that can feel uncomfortable at first.

Instead of focusing only on what they’ve left behind, she encourages people to build new routines and explore new interests.

For her, that has included writing, blogging, painting, travelling, and sharing her experiences with others who are preparing for retirement.

Her advice is simple: stay active, stay curious, and give yourself time to adjust. Retirement looks different for everyone, and that’s completely normal.

Planning for the Future Starts Today

Although emergency preparedness and retirement may seem like very different topics, they have one thing in common.

Both are easier to manage when you plan ahead.

Whether you’re putting together an emergency kit for your family or thinking about what life will look like after your career, taking small steps now can make a big difference later.
