Riding the rails this long weekend? Changes to GO train service on the Barrie line

GO trains will not operate between Downsview Park GO and Union Station from Saturday, May 16 to Monday, May 18 as crews continue construction to support the future addition of a second track.

There will be regularly scheduled train service between Allandale Waterfront GO and Downsview Park GO.

Metrolinx says that if you are travelling to Union Station from Downsview Park GO, riders should take TTC Line 1 south, and commuters travelling to Downsview Park GO from Union Station can get there on TTC Line 1 north.

There will also be no GO train service on the Barrie Line from Allandale Waterfront to Union Station on the weekends of May 23-24 and May 30-31.

This is also for planned line construction.
