An Important Reminder: Stay Alert to Email & Cybersecurity Risks: Web Version

My Insurance Broker (and btw my GrowVantage Instructor for Insurance) and her team, sent me this reminder regarding cybersecurity awareness.

“Cybercriminals continue to use increasingly convincing emails, texts, and messages to trick people into clicking links, opening attachments, or taking urgent actions. These messages may appear to come from trusted companies, colleagues, or even from our organization.

Before clicking or taking action, please pause and review:

  • Verify the sender‘s email address carefully
  • Be cautious of urgent language or pressure to act quickly
  • Avoid clicking links or opening attachments you were not expecting
  • When in doubt, go directly to a trusted website or contact the sender through a known phone number

If you ever receive a message that seems suspicious or unexpected, it‘s best not to interact with it until you‘ve confirmed its legitimacy.

Staying alert is one of the most effective ways to protect your information. If you have questions or would like guidance on identifying suspicious emails, please don‘t hesitate to reach out to our team.

Thank you for your continued trust and for helping keep your information secure.

Best regards,
