1)Teen killed by falling tree as storms plow across Muskoka

Severe thunderstorms raced across parts of Muskoka on Monday, and in one incident, a 19-year-old man was struck and killed by a falling tree.
Huntsville OPP say they responded to Clearwater Lake Road in Port Sydney, where the man was then transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say they also received numerous reports of downed trees and hydro lines across the road throughout the area.
Hydro One says damage includes broken poles, trees, and tree limbs that have dropped onto wires. Additional crews have been sent to areas hardest hit to support restoration.

A late evening ride turned deadly in Severn Township.
Orillia OPP say a 26-year-old man died after an ATV crashed on Laughlin Falls Road, between Lovering Line and Taylor Line, just northeast of Coldwater.
Emergency crews were called to the area around 8:20 Sunday night.
Paramedics and firefighters started lifesaving efforts, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, and no further details are being released at this time.

3)Runaway boat strikes man who fell overboard into Georgian Bay

A 57-year-old man is recovering after a dangerous boating incident on Georgian Bay near Brandy’s Island.
Southern Georgian Bay OPP say officers were called to the water around 2:15 Thursday afternoon after the operator of a vessel was thrown overboard. Police say the unmanned boat continued circling in the water before striking the man.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with what are described as minor injuries.
Emergency crews from Georgian Bay Township Fire Department also responded, and were able to safely stop the runaway vessel.
4)OPP seek witnesses after Highway 400 rollover sends driver to trauma centre

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a rollover on Highway 400 north of Port Severn that resulted in the driver being transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with life-altering injuries.
Just after 8:30 on Sunday morning, police say emergency services responded to a report of a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 400 southbound, about one kilometre south of South Gibson Lake Road. The vehicle was located in the centre median on its side.
The 30-year-old male driver was cut from the wreckage by first responders and taken to a local hospital, and from there transported to a trauma centre in Toronto.
The collision remains under investigation.
Police are seeking witnesses or dashcam footage.
5)Deadly house fire in Dwight

The Fire Marshal is assisting with the investigation into a deadly blaze at a home in Dwight in the District of Muskoka.
Around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, emergency crews say they were alerted about the fire on Spring Lake Road in the Township of Lake of Bays.
Fire officials say crews were met with thick black smoke when they got to the residence.
One person was found dead inside the home, and another person was taken to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
