What:
Possible significant ice accretion of 5 to 10 mm.

Power outages are likely.
Icy and slippery conditions.
Significant precipitation possible which may lead to localized flooding.

When: This evening into Sunday morning.

Additional Information:
Precipitation is forecast to begin as rain late this afternoon before transitioning to freezing rain this evening. Freezing rain may change over to rain on Saturday as temperatures fluctuate around the freezing mark. Areas that change over to rain will see less ice accretion. Freezing rain will persist longer over higher terrain where temperatures will stay slightly cooler. Freezing rain is expected to end for all areas by midday Sunday.

Significant ice accretion. General ice accretion amounts of 10 to 20 mm, with amounts in excess of 25 mm possible.
Widespread power outages.
Icy and slippery conditions.
Significant precipitation possible which may lead to localized flooding.

When:
This evening into Sunday afternoon.
The heaviest freezing rain is expected overnight into Saturday morning.

The area will receive significant freezing rain over the upcoming weekend. Precipitation may begin as snow or rain before changing over to freezing rain this evening. Freezing rain may become lighter for a brief period of time for some areas on Saturday. Freezing rain will change to rain on Sunday as temperatures rise above the freezing mark.

    Significant ice accretion. General ice accretion amounts of 5 to 15 mm, with amounts in excess of 15 mm possible.

    Icy and slippery conditions.
    Possible snow and ice pellet accumulations of 5 to 15 cm.

    When: This evening into Sunday afternoon.

    The area will receive significant freezing rain over the upcoming weekend. Precipitation is expected to begin as snow or ice pellets with some accumulations before changing over to freezing rain tonight. Freezing rain may become lighter for a period of time for some areas on Saturday or Saturday night. Freezing rain will change to rain late in the day on Sunday as temperatures rise above the freezing mark.

    Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break.

Tonight into Saturday morning.
Additional freezing rain Saturday night into Sunday.

Additional Information:
There is a risk of freezing rain tonight, possibly into Saturday morning, as temperatures will be near the freezing mark. A second and more significant round of freezing rain is expected Saturday night into Sunday as temperatures cool below the freezing mark.

Freezing rain warnings are possible as the event draws nearer.
